Hello, world!

I've been thinking about it for a while, and it's time to plunge in and blog. Since my camera doesn't seem to be working right now, no new picks are going up (I'll have to see over the next few days what recent ones I've got available), but I figure I'd better get a baseline post started to let everyone know who I am and what I'm doing.

Expect a LOT of kid reports. There are 6 of the monsters after all. They're cute, too.

What's on the knitting needles: Madli's Shawl in merino lace (actually cobweb) weight yarn bought as <$15 indulgence back at the MD Sheep and Wool Festival. Plus a Philospher's Wool sweater actually being knit in KP yarns that may take years. Plus a pair of socks promised to my mom which have been sitting around...since January. Plus the never-ending Shetland Shawl I hope to finish soon.

What's off the needles: the simple shawl I whipped up for my grandmother's birthday was finished yesterday. I want to send it to her early. I knit it up in 3 different skeins of Kureyon and hopefully I'll get to photograph it before I mail it out.

The home update: Addie's trying to crawl (she's 5 months old). Look out world!
