Would be desperately trying to finish a pair of heavy wool mittens in the next 24 hours in mid-July

and only in this household would I not be surprised to get home from work and find my spinning wheel in this position:

This would be why my wheel is a wonderful sturdy Fricke and not a Schacht-Reeves or something fancy and expensive and delicate like that!

And we won't even begin to discuss the state of the room shown. Yes, I have picked it up again and again in the last few days. Somehow within hours it looks like this again.
