The Cheese Mitter Story

I figured I should explain the whole "mitter" story since I keep mentioning parts of it to different people.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Kayla was reading a Sandra Boynton alphabet book to Addie.  For each letter, there's a common (mostly) animal.  Keep in mind that Addie can read and can sound words out.  So when they got to "M" Kayla pointed to the picture and told Addie to name the animal, which was a mouse.  Addie looked at it and said she didn't know what it was.  Kayla told her, "It's little, it squeaks, and remember it starts with 'M'."  Addie thought for a moment, then answered happily, "A 'mitter'!"  Kayla rolled her eyes and replied, "Addie, it squeaks and it eats cheese."  So Addie answered right back, proudly, "A CHEESE mitter."

And ever since then, Addie has been known as the cheese mitter of the household, whatever that is.  Incidentally, since around here wombats go, "WOM," and pteranodons squawk loudly, there has been a great deal of discussion about what noises cheese mitters make.
