10 pm update: Maui beaches and pina coladas

That's the closest general equivalent I can get to the experience of spinning this batt.  It's the merino, sari silk, and Firestar from Dragonfly Girl Designs.  The merino is the softest I've ever felt, there is not a single noil in the batt, and it just plain spins like beach dream!  Since I had nothing else to do tonight (/heavy sarcasm) I put the knitting aside to get the wheel going, and I finished one of the batt halves:

This so does not do justice to the colors which are incredible; hopefully once it's all spun and plied, I'll get some good photos and measurements.
