We weren't busy enough today

Because Feivel had swimming lessons, Gilad had his friend Hannah's birthday party to attend, Jeffrey and Sachy had Cub Scouts, Feivel and Jeffrey had Boy Scouts (though Feivel wound up not attending), and Kayla had Teen Talk (a girl's club run through a local Chabad House).  So we decided Jeffrey's parents should be in to visit

 and we should go ahead and celebrate Gilad's 4th birthday!

Oh, and since I have so much free time, I've cast on Titania for my O.W.L.s over at the Harry Potter Knitting game.  To fill up all those extra hours in my day.

Snow, blech, blech, blech

Snow fell yesterday, prompting the usual DC area shutdown. People have absolutely no judgement here; they drive 10 MPH when they should go 35 and vice versa. Grrrr.

We, the intellectual elite, frown upon them (snark).

Last night they upgraded it on the radio to a 3 TP roll event (based on the local tendency to try to stockpile bread, milk, and TP in the event of winter weather). Hee, hee.

Anyway, this morning's commute was fine, and even last night the girls and Mom and Dad went to have dinner with Bubbie (Grandma) without incident. She's here and happy in her apartment at Ring House just 10 minutes from us.

And Margo likes the hand-me-down fulled chickie sweater (from Dalegarns meant to be in Baby Ull) I sent her along with some pjs for Bryce. So all is well in Leesy land.

It's not Monday. No. It isn't.

Sunday evening not only was I staggering around I was so tired, but I couldn't even account for several hours out of the day.

We went to Mom and Dad's to celebrate Tirtze's birthday and to see Grandma who's in the process of moving to a retirement home down here. The kids all got their Chanuka gifts since we probably won't see Mom and Dad next weekend (iPod for Tirtze as a combined gift, fake Ugggs for Kayla, Pokemon cards for the boys, toys for the 2 little ones).

I stole a couple of photos from Mom to scan in. Now I'll have a pic of Josie to illustrate any and all posts about Dora (she's even wearing her sweatshirt with the big Superman "D" on the front--you know, SuperDora), plus one of Herbie just 'cause he's cute.

Feivel had his first 5th grade basketball team practice. We'll see just how this goes...he's not the only kid on the team from the special ed program, at least. He also had a boy scout meeting and felt very proud that he already knew a lot of what they went over, thanks to working with Jeffrey.
